Medical Officers, M&E Officer and Laboratory Officers (Makurdi & Maiduguri)

AIDS Preventive Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-profit non-government donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stalk holders, including donors, government agencies, university teaching hospitals and other non-governmental organizations to fight the HIV scourge.

APIN’s goal is not just to contribute to the reduction of the rate of growth of HIV epidemic in Nigeria, but also to the ultimate reversal of its course. The appointment of APIN as a sub-recipient of Global Fund for the implementation of HIV program in Benue and Borno states, through 104 Pry Health Centres (PHCs) and 30 Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs) has necessitated the bring on board of additional personnel. we are therefore inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions in our Makurdi and Maiduguri Offices.

A. Executive Assistant (2 nos.)

Job Duties:

This role will be working closely with the Program Coordinator to activate the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Comprehensive Health Centers (CHCs) and provide a wide range of technical assistance to the centres. The key tasks of the Medical Officers shall include the following:



ü Manage the administration of the CEO’s office in order to provide an environment for efficient programming.

ü Proactively seek up-to-date knowledge of new developments in programming and brief in the CEO adequately communication on relevant matters review documents and make summary notes to the CEO.

ü Assist the CEO in prioritizing and tracking timelines and deliverable as well as in following through on issues in a timely manner.

ü Arrange travel schedule and reservations for Executive Management as needed

ü Supervise and arrange appointments, meetings as well oversee travel arrangements for the C.E.O.

ü Undertake specific projects initiated by the CEO in order to support the programs.

ü Handle incoming and outgoing correspondences as referred by the C.E.O.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

At least a degree in relevant field, with relevant professional certifications and at least 4 years work experience in Development Sector and Management Confidential Matters, working closely to top management is essential.



Technical & Behaviour Competence:

ü Working knowledge of current HIV/AIDS and Public Health activities

ü Self-managed, with excellent organizational ability

ü Ability to work independently with no supervision.

ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse person groups.

ü Computer literacy in usages of personal productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet browsing.) and to work in a team.

ü Willingly to travel locally within a short notice.
