The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following position at the Institute's Kano Station.
COMMODITY CLERK
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties: minimum of a year professional
* Handle commodity sales for the society and make necessary entries into the books.
* Undertake issuance of receipts.
* Assist in the provision of photocopy services.
* Assist with filing of documents and maintenance of member’s database.
* Run daily errands for the society
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Cooperative Studies
The ideal candidate must be computer literate with adequate knowledge of excel.
COOPERATIVE OFFICER
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
* Prepare and oversee all monthly cooperative deductions.
* Handle loan application and reconcile monthly deductions sheet with payroll sheet
* Supervise teller postings to personal ledgers and reconcile bank statements with tellers received.
* Prepare annual accounts.
* All other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
HND/ND/Diploma in Cooperative Studies from a recognized institution with a minimum of four (4) years professional experience in a departmental cooperative.
The ideal candidate must be computer literate and be proficient in the use of MS applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
BOOK KEEPERS
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties * Assist the Cooperative Officer in the day to day running of the office.
* Generate membership numbers and undertake filing of new membership forms.
* Participate In stock taking exercise.
* Handle sales and carry out proper documentations.
* Handle photocopy services.
* All other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
ND/Diploma in Cooperative Studies with minimum of 2 years professional experience in a departmental cooperative.
The ideal candidate must be computer literate with adequate knowledge of excel.

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following position at the Institute's Headquarters, Ibadan.
Job Title: Secretary (2-year renewable Contract)
Duties:
Successful candidate will among other things:
Manage YIIFSWA Project Secretariat, understake typing of correspondence, reports, manuscripts, handling telephone, fax, e-mail, mail, photocopying, etc.
Comply with IITA's standard operational procedures in respect of administration and finance for all YIIFSWA Project activities.
Organise, maintain and reqularly update the administrative and finance filing systems including correspondences (both electronic and hard copies).
Assist the YIIFSWA Project Management Team in all matters relating to organisation of meetings and workshops.
Arrange travel logistics for Project Management Team and visitors
Liaise with respective IITA Units for procurement of supplies, communication, accounting and finance matters.
Organise and supervise cash payments (Petty cash) as well as casual labour if any Undertake any other administrative and finance related tasks assigned by the Management Team.
Qualification and Experience
National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years Secretariat
Management experience in a reputable organization.
The ideal candidate must
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a cross cultural setting.
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
