VACANCIES AT DANGOTE SUGAR

MECHANICAL ENGINEER:
Duties:
Responsible for accurate documentation and adherence to procedures in accordance with ISO 9001-2008
Operate and maintain all material handling equipments and other heavy duty equipment in the refinery
Maintenance of all refinery equipment, including the use of verification, tools micrometer, machines

Experience:
HND or first degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and must have 5 years practical experience in food and allied industries
Pay attention to details and have strong analytical skills and be computer literate
Membership of COREN or NSE is an added advantage
Must have knowledge of Health, safety and environment practice
And must not be more than 40 years

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN:

Duties:
Maintain logbook for recording all operations and activities of the plant
Reassemble equipment and test for performance and safety
Perform online maintenance checks to ensure machines function optimally
Take apart equipment to examine or repair parts
Use meter and hand held tools to diagnose components that need repair

Experience:
Technical certificate parts I,II, C and G or OND in mechanical engineering with six years relevant experience in mechanical work in heavy engineering industries preferably in the food and allied industries
Mechanical and electrical knowledge
Sound maintenance skills in handling conveyors, heating and pressure vessels, pumps and clarifiers
Maximum age of 35 and candidates will be required to work shifts

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN:

Duties:
Perform online maintenance checks to ensure machines function optimally
Take apart equipment to examine or repair parts
Use meter and hand held tools to diagnose components that need repair
Maintain logbook for recording all operations and activities of the unit

Experience:
Technical certificate parts I,II, C and G or OND in electrical engineering with six years relevant experience in electrical equipment maintenance in the food and allied industries
Maximum age of 35
Mechanical and electrical knowledge
Attention to details and good sense of judgement
Equipment maintenance knowledge and skills
Successful candidates will be requires to work shifts

INSTRUMENT ENGINEER

Duties:
Responsible for identifying technologies for new applications
Design, configure, modify, commission new system
Maintenance activities for smooth and efficient operation in the refinery
Responsible for accurate documentation and adherence to prodesures in accordance with ISO 9001-2008

Experience:
HND/BSC in electrical/electronic engineering for instrumentation and control engineering with minimum of 5 years work experience in an industrial, team oriented and collaborative environment
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills and ability to executive and prioritise tasks
Must have knowledge of Health, Safety and environmental practice
Maximum age of 40 years

BOILERS OPERATOR:

Duties:
Maintain a logbook and record day to day operational activities in the boiler house
Monitor reading of field gauges and panel board instruments for efficient operation of the boilers
Perform maintenance such as cleaning the entire boiler house equipment and lubricating feed pumps etc for operational efficiency and maximum steam supply
Responsible for maintaining records of boiler parameters and the operation of steam boilers

Experience:
First degree or its equivalent in mechanical engineering with 3 years experience on boiler operation in food and allied industries
Excellent understanding of boiler operations
Skills and knowledge of maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
Maximum age of 35 years and successful candidates will be required to work shifts

TURBINE OPERATOR

Duties:
To ensure efficient and uninterrupted power generation and supply to the refinery and other subsidiary companies in accordance with set target
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of power house activities
Maintain cleaning of the power house and lubricating the power house and lubricating the power house equipment and maintain logbook and record day to day operational activities in the power house

Experience:
Technical certificate parts I,II, C and G or OND in mechanical engineering with at least 6 years relevant on power plant including diesel gen set, steam turbines, cooling towers and air compressors in a food and allied industries
Sound house plant operation and computer literate
Skills and knowledge of maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
Maximum age of 35 years and successful candidates will be required to work shifts
The successful candidates will be required to work shifts
