Federal Ministry of Education 2012 / 2013 BEA Scholarship Awards.

The Nigeria Federal Ministry of Education hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for 2012/2013 Bilateral Educational Agreement Scholarship Awards Programme in Postgraduate level (Master degree and Ph. D) in all fields and in Undergraduate level.

2012 / 2013 Bilateral Educational Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Awards Interview

The 2012/2013 Bilateral Educational Agreement Scholarship application forms for nomination to Non English speaking countries (Russia, China, Cuba, Morocco, Algeria, Romania, Greece, Ukraine, Turkey, Czech Republic, Serbia e.tc) are now available on the website of the Federal Scholarship Board.

2.) All qualified candidates are advised to:

a. Visit Federal Scholarship Board’s website:www.fsb.gov.ng
b. Complete the application form (Click Register button at fsb site)
c. Download the application form.
d. Submit the completed application forms at the venue of the interview as scheduled.

3.) Field of Studies

a. Postgraduate level (Master degree and Ph. D) in all fields
b. Undergraduate level - Medicine, Engineering, Geology, Building Engr, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Political Science etc

4.) Basic Requirements

A.) Postgraduate Scholarship:

All applicants should hold a Masters Degree or First Degree with at least 2nd Class Upper. The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign awards must have completed at least two (2) years post qualification or employment practices in Nigeria. A knowledge of the Foreign language of the donor country is desired particularly for those applying for Russian Award. All applicants must have completed NYSC. Age limit is 35 years.

B.) Undergraduate Scholarship:

All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC or NECO) in the subjects relevant to their field of studies including English Language and Mathematics. Knowledge of Foreign language will be an added advantage. The age of certificate should not be more than Three (3) years (2009 - 201 1). Applicants who by October 2012 will be in 300 Level and above in a tertiary Institution need not apply. Age limit is 23 years

5.) Venue of Interview:

All eligible applicants are to report for the interview at the venues nearest to them as scheduled for their respective states of origin.

Two sets of completed application forms should be submitted at the various interview centres with the following attachments:

Two authenticated photocopies of educational certificates ( Original certificates should he presented at the interview venues for sighting)
Only one certificate will be accepted i.e WAEC or NECO
Statement of results must be confirmed by WAEC or NEGO and forwarded to the Director/Secretary, Federal Scholarship Board, Abuja,
Two copies of Birth certificate / statutory declaration of age issued by the National Population Commission nearest to you.
State of origin certificate duly signed, stamped and dated.
Four (4) passport sized colour photographs with white background
Medical certificate of fitness including HIV /AIDS, Anti Rabies and Hipatitis B free certificates obtained from Teaching Hospital / National Hospital, Abuja.
Academic transcripts and NYSC certificates will be required from applicants for postgraduate studies and
Police Clearance Certificate including finger prints from the police station nearest to place of residence.
