Job Description:
•Oversee the development and management of Mobile Money products and services in conjunction with potential/ existing solution providers, license owners, agencies, etc to drive product adoption and usage
•Set up and manage a team of Business Development Specialists to mine data and deduce new market/ business trends
•Identify and develop business growth opportunities, in accordance with MTN’s strategy , goals and Agency’s regulations
•Plan and develop strategies for providing and maintaining effective business development capabilities in line with the vision and mission of the Mobile Money department
•Oversee the identification of requirements and needs for strategic alliance and partner stakeholders to ensure the right approach and mechanism are in place to maintain good relations with related parties, in the interest of MTN
•Manage relationship and support services to ensure the department meets its marketing targets
•Ensure prompt generation of business development reports and analysis, providing insight into business development effort within the department
•Ensure MM Business Development processes and services are effective and efficient in line with defined SLAs
•Identify and select preferred approach to meet identified opportunities and evaluate profitability of the opportunities (revenue potential, resource requirements, and associated costs)
•Oversee the analysis of competitive pressures & offerings vis-à-vis costs /benefits associated with alliances and partners
•Determine barriers & opportunity investment requirements
Job Conditions: Standard MTNN working conditions
Reporting To: General Manager Mobile Money
Required Skills:
•A good first degree in Social Sciences or any related field
•A Masters in Business Administration will be an advantage
•12 years work experience including:
•2- 3 years experience in a Sales or Business Development environment of a Telecoms/FMCG/Financial Services company
•5 years experience in a supervisory/ managerial role
