MTN Recruits Field Support Engineer

Job Title: Field Support Engineer
Department: Network Group

Job Description:
•Perform routine O&M procedures as prescribed for Power, Transmission and BTS Radio networks.
•React to emergency faults and ensure all faults are rectified promptly within contracted SLA.
•Resolution of repetitive faults affecting BTS radio network
•Ensure provision of power (requisite quality) to all sites within purview 24 hours a day
•Implement cross connect equipment in a designated area of the MTN Network
•Compile information and report on the availability of the transmission network in light of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
•Swiftly diagnose and clear any faults or alarms assigned by trouble ticket, or ensure escalation within time period stipulated in SLAs to correct parties if unable to fix. To close or forward all trouble tickets promptly.
•Implement approved software changes as directed with change requests.
•Ensure maintenance work undertaken by contractors meets MTN Nigeria’s specification.
•Maintain a comprehensive set of records of all transmission links, BTS sites, power equipment and spares for all sites within designated area.
•Ensure all security and network Integrity documentation is completed and adhered to.
•Liaise with diesel contractors to ensure on-scheduled supply of diesel to sites within purview
Job Conditions: Tool of trade vehicle provided Normal MTNN working conditions. National travel and a valid drivers license. On stand by 24/7 through out the year. Overtime and the performance of call out duties are essential. Driving in high-risk areas and travelling high mileages is mandatory. Working at elevated heights and in extreme environmental conditions is a requirement. The use of safety climbing equipment while working at elevated heights is compulsory

Required Skills:
•B.Sc Electrical/Electronics (Telecommunications)/Mechanical Engineering

PAYROLL ADMINISTRATION
•Ensure that all payroll related inputs are submitted promptly
•Review all payroll related inputs and check for accuracy

-Performs a first line review of input of overtime allowances, shift allowances, callout allowances, etc. into the payroll system
-Reviews input of statutory deductions no (NSITF, NHF), spouse and staff phone bills etc

PAYROLL RECONCILIATION
•Provide relevant payroll reports

-Reconcile all salary accounts with the banks
-Provide adhoc reports on staff salary costs to the relevant units within finance
•Compute all end of services entitlements or indebtedness
-Ensure resigned staff are not included in payroll
-Compute entitlement based on resignation date
-Advise HR of the net position
-Clears all repayment cheque through Finance Expenditure department
-Raise all appropriate entries on IFS

•Monitors the amortisation and accruals of all salaries related payments.
STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
•Coordinate the processing, remittance and reconciliation of all payroll related statutory liabilities (PAYE, NSITF, NHF) to ensure MTNN’s compliance with all payroll related tax laws and regulations.
•Keep accurate and up to date records of all payroll related payments made to statutory authorities
•Administration of statutory audit (concerning PAYE, NSITF, NHF) process and respond promptly to payroll related queries raised by the tax authorities and other regulatory bodies.
•Coordinate the preparation of year-end tax forms (Form A) for both National and Expatriate staff.
•Filing of tax returns in compliance with the deadline of the statutory authorities.
•Prepare PAYE audit support data for external auditor’s use.
•Registration of new MTNN office/staff with the SBIR, FBIR & NSITF to avert any penalty that may arise.
•Administration and deduction of staff/spouse handset and phone bill.
•Prepare monthly reports related to the payroll statutory deduction within MTNN

Job Description:

Plan, build, operate and manage the governance of MTNN’s enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management program, including policies, roles and responsibilities, maturity model, methodologies, strategies, plans, budget (capital and operational), annual agenda, metrics and program scorecard for all components of the program.
Design and Implement a company wide Business Continuity Management awareness and education program to ensure that all MTNN personnel clearly understand their responsibilities before, during and after a business disruption.

Work closely with other Divisions in MTNN and external parties to establish and regularly review key business strategies in alignment with Business Continuity Management needs, including the recovery and restoration of MTNN’s mission-critical business processes, organizations, personnel, data and equipment.
Consult and advise Divisions in MTNN in conducting risk assessments and business impact analysis in order to develop appropriate business disruption risk mitigation strategies.
Control, create, implement, exercise and maintain Business Continuity Management and disaster recovery plans.
Manage MTNN’s expenditures for Business Continuity Management (for example, applications used by many business units across the enterprise), as well as coordinate and facilitate cross-enterprise business continuity management/disaster recovery exercises
Develop, negotiate, manage, and enforce contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) for internal and external Business Continuity Management service providers.
Coordinate and deliver all enterprise communications to internal management (Board of Directors, the audit committee, Business Continuity Management steering committee) and external stakeholders (regulators, auditors, customers) regarding the status of the enterprise business continuity management and IS disaster recovery program, including annual reporting, audit report responses and customer requests.
Manage the execution of all recovery plans when a business disruption occurs.

Job Description:

Integrate quality management procedures across all business processes within the Mobile advertising sales function and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure cost-effective sales channel management
Plan, develop and ensure compliance with contracted terms and conditions with channel partners.
Create an aggressive sales strategy/target to grow MTN’s revenue streams
Ensure integrated channel management, supported by appropriate systems such as CLM
Manage and coordinate channel partners to implement integrated mobile advertising campaigns to achieve un-paralleled marketing results.
Liaise with channel partners to develop compelling business cases for investment within relevant verticals, clearly identifying return on investment and risk
Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a branded service experience
Provide sales performance data to support management decision making
Supply relevant decision support and management information data to ensure that sales performance conform to investors’ expectations.
Ensure full integration of quality management processes across sales activities for the channel partners , ensuring effective deployment on a day-to-day basis
Adopt best practices sales strategy to be implemented by channel partners

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role
4 years experience in a reputable advertising agency, 2 of which must have been spent managing key accounts
Knowledge of functions & operations of the Telecommunications industry.
